Hi! I'm an animator looking to focus more on 3D characters, but would like to skip over modeling and rigging a character and dive right into animating in C4D. Does anyone have recommendations or resources for rigged human models?
I've found that over the years, the Maya animators still get the best toys... which is why most character animators stick to it.
C4D still kinda sucks at complex rigs (realtime performance wise), and audio support is janky, which makes syncing to audio pretty challenging.
I'd honestly suggest grabbing some maya rigs, do your animation in maya - and then light in c4d if that's more comfortable.
I used to use Digital Tutors for C4D tutorials and they would include project files that had high quality models you could play with. I think Digital Tutors was bought out by Pluralsight a few years ago.
