There was a conversation that started on Twitter recently. The gist of the discussion is that the culture of sharing tutorials and processes within the motion design industry has ill effects. It has devalued the work of the motion designer and drives costs down and client expectations up in the industry in general.
I can see how the democratization of specialized knowledge can drive down costs. But as a beneficiery of the culture of sharing, I want to believe that it has done more good than harm to the greater motion design community. What thoughts do people have?
