All 20 spots are now taken, but I've opened 5 reserve spots you can snag in case someone drops out. They are marked in yellow at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
Thanks everyone for participating, I'm super excited to see how it will all turn out!
Seems like a lot of people are intrested! That's great, so let's get this ball rolling! I'm limiting it to maximum of 20 participants this time, since we're possibly looking at a timeline of 40 weeks if everyone takes their time.
Sign up with your name and contact info here:
(im trusting you not to mess with the google sheets :))
The rules and colors are/will be in the document. While you're all putting in your contact info i will figure out the colors and start the first 75 frames of this fun collab!
I’ve been thinking that it would be fun to do some sort of collaboration that would result in something bigger, but that wouldn’t create too much pressure or workload and figured something like an exquisite corpse/motion corpse type thing could be the way to go.
For those who don’t know what that is (like me, until recently), remember when you were a kid and folded a paper and drew something on one half, then your friend drew the other half without seeing what you drew and it turned out super weird? That's what it is.
I thought we could come up with the best way to do this together, but here’s what I’m thinking:
- 15-20 participants, first to join gets a spot, so no cherry picking, this one is for all.
- 75 frames each, challenging and forces you to keep it short.
- The next person only gets the last 12 frame from the person before.
- Once you get your last 12 frames you have 2 weeks to complete, but faster is better.
- Color palette of 3-4 colors
- Any medium, but keep the colors accurate
I’m thinking I set up a google sheets and fill up all the participants with name and contact info and keep it updated so people can contact each other and I can act a little bit as the spider in the web and put everything together in the end and see that everything goes smoothly.
Anyone interested in this sort of thing? Got any ideas to tweak the setup?
