Has anyone ever lived in a HUBZone and did contracting / sub-contracting with the government?
I may have an opportunity in the near future to live in one and heard it can be lucrative if you work with the government from there.
Idk about animators and illustrators, but a good friend of mine who is a photographer/videographer spent 2 years as a government contract employee in Germany, where he documented joint military exercises and conducted video interviews. He said it wasn't the most exciting work, but enjoyed the opportunity to live abroad.
Is there a lot of opportunity in government contracting for animators and illustrators?
I feel like, at least for the duration of the current executive administration, we'll see a drop in most artistic, human-centered campaigns the produced by federal government agencies. Unless the Dept. of Defense is looking for ICBM explainer videos, seems like everyone else's budget getting squeezed (if not eliminated completely).
Found this resource and it's proven to be quite helpful too:
Seems like an interesting opportunity. Didn't know these types of programs existed:
For anyone else unfamiliar with the concept^^
