I have been turning down jobs for others to find my booking rescheduled or shortened.
I understand that this is something that can happen sometimes, but I am under the impression that this is becoming a new "normal".
I even got some "first hold" from some serious companies I used to work with to never hear back anything... The story could go on with the usual companies who send massive emails to freelancers for a potential project in the next 2 months...
I could put a "kill fee", right? But I also feel this could end a relationship if I have to enforce it.
I am not a "rock star" designer (geez, I hate this term!) who is on high demand 24/7 ... I have a family, I love to work hard, but it really feels that "scheduling" has become worst over time here in the US.
Maybe I am old school? if someone asked me to get back, I ALWAYS get back to them.
What is your Yoda move?
